NOTICE TO ALL EMPLOYERS
NOTIFICATION OF ANNUAL RETURN (LABOUR) FOR THE YEAR 2022
AJC would like to inform their clients and all Employers in Vanuatu of their legal obligation
to submit to the Department of Labour & Employment Services their annual return.
As per Section 72 (a), (b) and (c) of the Employment Act: –
Employers may be required to submit returns to the Commissioner of the Labour
Department with the following information:
(a) The date of opening of the undertaking
(b) The Business of the undertaking
(c) The number of workers employed in the various trade categories of the undertaking
at such date as shall be specified in the notice.
As per Section 74 of the Employment Act:-
The Commissioner of Labour may require any Employer to furnish in writing returns and
statistics, whether periodically or otherwise, as to the number of employees employed by
him in any particular employment and the rates of remuneration and other conditions
affecting the terms or conditions of employment.
The Labour Department has extended the deadline of the Annual Return submissions to the 30th of June 2022.
