IT Department Head
- We are searching for a well-organized, detail-orientated department head to join SHARPER IMAGE. The department head’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analyzing existing operations and drawing up improvement plans, providing training to new and existing staff, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, drawing up budgets, liaising with clients and other professionals, scheduling meetings, networking with relevant stakeholders, and identifying opportunities for growth. You should be able to engage with a wide range of professionals.
- To be successful as a department head, you should have an influential personality and stellar leadership qualities. Outstanding department heads are able to identify issues and develop innovative solutions.
IT Department Head Responsibilities
- be constantly informed of new products/technology
- be able to determine the needs for the department
- build a solid inside sales team that exceeds sales goals
- participates in the recruitment process
- good customer relationship
- must be able to advise the customer correctly
- builds customer loyalty
- builds with his management the sales objectives and the commercial strategy of the department
- monitors margin and turnover on a daily basis and take action if necessary
- point of contact with management to discuss strategy the IT Manager must be a source of proposals
- plans and performs inventory control
- always looking for prices, good deals when purchasing stock – sourcing
- providing management communications to the sales department; training & coaching
- ensuring that the stock runs
- IT area meeting SI standards / signage / product display / cleanliness …
IT Department Head Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Excellent verbal, written, and telephonic communication (English & French).
- A positive attitude and professional manners.
- A growth mindset.
- Strong networking and management abilities.
