We are currently looking to recruit a Database Administrator for our client TITAN FX.

Titan FX is a regulated securities dealer based in Port Vila, Vanuatu and offers forex and CFD brokerage to traders globally. Titan FX differentiates itself from other brokers by investing in product development and outstanding customer service rather than sales and advertising.
Titan FX was created in 2014 to provide a stable no dealing desk forex broker to service a global client base. Our veteran management and support team comprises highly experienced forex and fin-tech professionals with combined decades of experience providing the best possible trading conditions and client support to both retail and institutional clients.
The Titan FX leadership team frequently consults with stakeholders such as regulators, banks and other members of the financial services industry to ensure business integrity and customer security. The team also liaises with experienced service providers from Singapore, Australia, USA, UK and India to bring the best industry experience and innovations to Titan FX customers.
About the Role
This person will utilise their AWS cloud computing expertise to meet the needs of internal & external clients using cloud native tools. The ideal candidate has experience in a DBA role currently and has strong desires to learn all the databases in AWS.
Each internal project represents a new challenge that will give you exposure to new business issues, technologies, and people and will involve a range of responsibilities to include:
- Develop solutions using cutting edge AWS database technologies
- Conduct research on differing approaches to data storage in AWS.
- Knowledge of AWS Database Migration Service
- Learns all aspects of AWS Databases and storage patterns to include, Amazon Aurora, Glue, Relational Database Service (RDS), Dynamo, Redshift, Neptune, TimeSeries, Elasticache and Document DB.
- Solve issues by designing, developing, testing, and deploying software solutions.
- Partner with full stack development teams to create databases in AWS using a DevOps mindset and principles.
- Develop data migration plans to migrate legacy on-premises & cloud databases into AWS data stores.
- Work on indexing, replicating and performing disaster recovery services across multiple AWS regions.
- Writing, designing, testing, implementing and maintaining database applications using SQL or other database programming languages.
- Assist in creating architecture and develop modular software components.
- Monitor system performance metrics to identify potential risks/issues.
Qualifications
- Hands on experience with Amazon Aurora
- Experience with AWS DynamoDB (preferred or NoSQL)
- Current hands on working knowledge of AWS Databases such as RDS, RedShift, Aurora.
- AWS Certified Developer Associate (preferred) – training support available with TitanFX
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate or Professional (preferred) – training support available with TitanFX
- Interest in being involved internally and growing a small business (entrepreneurial spirit)
- Ability to travel from Port Vila, Vanuatu office as needed to Melbourne office, or elsewhere.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Excellent drive, peer management, and communication skills
- Management consulting experience (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred) or equivalent experience
- Start date asap.
- Preference given to local candidates and also availability to start remotely initially if needed.
